Health and Social Care Consultant

Location: Dundee or Newcastle

We’re looking for an ambitious consultant to take a leading role in growing and delivering an exciting portfolio of health, care, and wellbeing projects. 

You’ll have experience of working with local / central government and health services to adopt new solutions, improve outcomes, and achieve efficiencies. 

This permanent role will be based in one of our offices (Dundee or Newcastle) in line with your preferences.  

The role 

We’re seeking an experienced consultant to complement our existing team and develop our business further with new clients.

Responsibilities:   

  • Research new technologies, tools, and solutions to improve health and care outcomes. 
  • Run projects which pilot new service approaches, technology and management tools across a range of health and care settings. 
  • Write reports that inspire our clients to take action.  
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, attend meetings, undertake interviews, and deliver presentations to all levels of seniority. 
  • Manage projects, ensuring work is effectively delivered on time and within budget in a way that delights our clients. 
  • Predict and plan your work and coordinate efforts with other team members.  

Skills and experience 

We are looking for candidates with a passion for trying new ideas in public services, a solid grounding in health and care, and the desire to work in a project-based consultancy. We are open to a range of backgrounds and you may have experience of: 

  • Working as a consultant to successfully deliver projects for clients in the NHS, social care, local or central government.  
  • Introducing new capabilities and practices to the existing care services mix. 
  • Working in a clinical or managerial role in the NHS or care services.  
  • Designing, delivering, and evaluating technology-enabled care services pilots. 
  • Healthcare economics, health technology assessments or health and care research in academia or the private sector.   
  • Evaluating care services, including collecting, handling and analysing sentiment data using tools such as interviews, workshops, focus groups and surveys.
  • Developing business cases to support investment in social care and health services. 
  • Advising on performance and practice improvement strategies. 
  • Business development and bid writing.
