Helping SMEs to See What’s Next

Urban Foresight has been commissioned to deliver a new programme to help Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) realise opportunities from emerging technologies, innovative business models and new markets.

A programme of events, training workshops and tailored support will be provided to the end of March 2017.

This includes a fully funded training workshop on strategic roadmapping, which will offer guidance on how to develop visions of the future and create joined up action plans to respond to competitive threats and realise new opportunities. This training will be led by Urban Foresight’s Dr. David Beeton, who has developed roadmaps for blue chip corporates and innovative SMEs around the world and was awarded a PhD for his research to develop new roadmapping techniques at the University of Cambridge.

Urban Foresight’s expert team will also offer a range of innovation support services to North East SMEs, including: market research, commercial strategies, technology scouting, partner searches and guidance on funding and bid writing.

The innovation support programme is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and was commissioned by Sunderland Software City, which brings together the best of the public, private and educational sectors to drive the development of world-class software businesses and generate a sustainable software industry in North East England.

Eligible companies that are interested to participate in the programme should contact Adam Suleiman or call on 0191 495 7350.
