Human Resources Coordinator

Location: Newcastle or Dundee, UK

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator for a key role in our unique and growing business.

You will help to contribute to our HR (Human Resources) processes, culture, and talent attraction. This will ensure that Urban Foresight continues to be an exceptional place to work.

This permanent role will be based in our office in Dundee or Newcastle.

The role

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as an HR Coordinator. You will collaborate closely with our existing Head of People, Recruitment Manager and Directors as part of our dedicated HR team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • helping to provide comprehensive advice and support to employees on a wide range of HR matters.
  • maintaining accurate employee records.
  • supporting all aspects of recruitment and introducing new starters into the company.
  • administrative duties such as attendance, sickness absence and holiday allowance, and preparing paperwork for starters, leavers, and family leave.
  • providing support in administering compensation and benefits programmes.
  • generating reports on HR metrics such as turnover, headcount and training participation providing data analysis as needed.
  • helping to manage employee relation cases including absence management, long term sickness, disciplinary, grievances, performance management and termination procedures.
  • conducting exit interviews, analysing feedback, and making recommendations to directors and relevant managers.
  • assisting in ensuring the company’s HR policies and practices comply with legal regulations and industry standards.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate would have:

  • proven experience in a similar role
  • strong knowledge of UK employment law
  • CIPD or similar qualification.
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • a proactive, detail-oriented mindset and a desire to grow within the HR field.
  • high proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
