Urban Foresight Shortlisted for Green Business Award
It was announced today that Urban Foresight has been shortlisted for the Green Business of the Year Award at the inaugural Newcastle Business Awards.
This category will award a local company that can show how a green ethos has worked to create a commercial return for the business. The judges are looking for businesses that have either applied environmental policies into the workplace resulting in reducing their carbon footprint or that supply a product that makes a positive contribution to the environment.
“We’re delighted to be recognised for this prestigious award” said David Beeton, Managing Director of Urban Foresight. “Our company was founded as a green business and is committed to reducing pollution, minimising the impact of our operations on the environment and adopting low carbon working practices. Our wider vision of sustainable development underpins an ambition to make a positive contribution to society and realise economic opportunities through responsible business practices. It therefore extra special to receive this recognition from our local peers in Newcastle.”
The inaugural Newcastle Business Awards, in association with Siemens Power Generation Services, will take place on the evening of 26th of November. The theme and tone of the awards will encapsulate the vision of inspiring communities through enterprise. The event will promote the ethos and practice of businesses and the community working together to drive social improvement whilst encouraging a more environmentally sustainable approach to growing the local economy.
