We are looking for ambitious and experienced consultants who can take a leading role one of three key areas for our business:

  • Transport and smart mobility
  • Economic development
  • Digital and emerging technologies

Transport Consultant

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced consultant who can take a leading role in winning and delivering projects related to transport and smart mobility. This is an opportunity to further strengthen Urban Foresight’s reputation in this sector and to help grow this exciting area of our business.

You will be responsible for:

  • management and delivery of projects for private and public sector clients
  • leading input from a team of consultants to deliver high quality reports
  • business development to win new work

We have a uniquely varied and exciting project portfolio, making each project different, often challenging, but always rewarding. Our current transport portfolio includes projects in areas such as: electric mobility, Mobility as a Service, connected and autonomous vehicles, smart parking, and hydrogen transport.

Typical project activities often involve:

  • preparing reports and presentations to advise clients on options, risks and appropriate actions;
  • developing feasibility studies, business cases and commercial models for innovative products and services addressing future city challenges;
  • developing strategies and policy frameworks to guide public and/or private sector investments;
  • preparing bids for funding, with external partners or for client bodies;
  • policy research and evidence-based analysis;
  • stakeholder engagement, through structured interviews, facilitated workshops, questionnaires and private meetings.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • a passion for sustainability and urban innovation and be motivated to have a positive impact on future city challenges;
  • at least 5 years experience working in a relevant consultancy role;
  • a track record of successful business development and bid writing;
  • confidence working across professional disciplines and a keen interest in technology, policy and business models;
  • expertise in analysing problems, finding information and quickly developing an understanding of new areas;
  • excellent report writing skills, with an ability to clearly summarise findings and offer meaningful insights;
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver engaging presentations;
  • competencies in both quantitative and qualitative research;
  • in-depth technical knowledge relevant to our areas of work in transport.

 


Economic Development Consultant

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced consultant who can take a leading role in winning and delivering projects as part of our economic development team.

You will be responsible for:

  • management and delivery of projects for private and public sector clients
  • leading input from a team of consultants to deliver high quality reports
  • business development to win new work

We have a uniquely varied and exciting project portfolio, making each project different, often challenging, but always rewarding. Our economic development consultants provide high-quality research, analysis, and insight to support our clients in developing and implementing projects of real societal value.

Typical project activities often involve:

  • undertaking research and analysis to advise clients on options, risks and appropriate actions;
  • developing feasibility studies, business cases and commercial models for innovative products and services addressing future city challenges;
  • developing strategies and evidence-based insights to guide public and/or private sector investments;
  • preparing bids for funding, with external partners or for client bodies;
  • stakeholder engagement, through structured interviews, facilitated workshops, questionnaires and private meetings;
  • thought leadership to define the significance and potential impact of emerging trends and technologies.

Digital and Emerging Technologies Consultant

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced consultant who can take a leading role in winning and delivering projects related to digital and emerging technologies. This is an opportunity to further strengthen Urban Foresight’s reputation in this sector and to help grow this exciting area of our business.

You will be responsible for:

  • management and delivery of projects for private and public sector clients
  • leading input from a team of consultants to deliver high quality reports
  • business development to win new work

We have a uniquely varied and exciting project portfolio, making each project different, often challenging, but always rewarding. Examples of current projects to which you may contribute include:

  • advising clients on smart city strategies and the development of smart city projects;
  • developing a Smart Ports testbed to trial new technologies and services to optimise activities such as logistics, operations management, sustainability, safety and security;
  • developing use cases and determining the commercial implications of ICT network innovations required for the deployment of connected and autonomous vehicles;
  • technical and commercial support to introduce a novel mobility-as-a-service platform.
