Alfie Millard

Graduate Project Specialist

Alfie is a First-Class (Hons) Geography graduate dedicated to finding climate compatible and equitable transport solutions. He has a particular interest in how policy changes influence the governance and funding of urban bus networks, and how this improves integration, accessibility, and usage.

His dissertation interrogated the barriers and opportunities faced by the Glasgow bus industry and the possibility for new governance arrangements under a bus franchise system.

Studying geography has equipped him with a wide variety of skills from individual and collaborative research design and qualitive data gathering to report writing and multi-method dissemination of findings.

Alfie is trained in ArchGIS Pro, a cloud-based mapping and analysis solution for geographic data. This has provided Alfie with an understanding of how geo-processing can be used to assess suitable site locations based on varying geographic criteria. He will be using these skills to support our work in electric mobility.
