Julia is an experienced research and evaluation consultant. She has a deep interest in conducting inclusive and trauma-informed research that informs policy and works to address inequalities and improve communities.
Prior to joining Urban Foresight she worked as a Research Consultant, specialising in criminal justice, poverty and wellbeing, and employability. In this role, she conducted needs analyses and programme evaluations and specialised in the analysis and visualisation of quantitative data.
She also completed her Q-Step placement with the Salvesen Mindroom Centre, where she researched on Scottish neurodivergent students’ transition into further and higher education.
She has an academic background in international development and quantitative methods, where she focused on education, migration, and socio-economic development. Her dissertation used quantitative methods to examine the gendered impact of climate change events on children’s education in Ethiopia.
