Melissa joined Urban Foresight from Unilever where she worked as a Foresight Strategist with a focus on sustainability, culture and trends. A scientist by training, Melissa has extensive experience in the fast moving consumer goods sector and started her career in R&D at Procter & Gamble’s Newcastle Innovation Centre.
Melissa has a deep understanding of developing and emerging markets and is a specialist in cultural coding.
She is passionate about products and services with a social purpose and messaging that breaks stereotypes. This includes championing Unilever’s global commitment to the #Unstereotype movement to change the perception of people and the world that they live in.
