Neil is a highly experienced product development and commercial innovation practitioner with global industry experience.
At Urban Foresight, Neil has successfully led the delivery of sectorial innovation projects for numerous public and private sector clients. This includes impact evaluations, feasibility studies and business cases for National Governments, Local Authorities and Innovation Centres supporting industries as diverse as Life Sciences and Immersive Technology.
Prior to joining Urban Foresight, Neil spent over 12 years at Procter and Gamble managing R&D projects for some of the biggest FMCG brands in the world and bringing them to market. With a deep commitment to consumer-focused design, Neil has led and executed multiple upstream field research programmes across Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
His expertise includes knowledge in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research techniques. He is also a skilled interviewer, focus group moderator and workshop facilitator. As well as his R&D commercialisation responsibilities, Neil supported QA, safety, regulatory, environmental, legal and marketing compliance for these programmes.
Neil holds a BSc in Biochemistry and a MSc in Bioinformatics from St Andrews and Newcastle University, respectively. He also achieved an MBA with Distinction from Newcastle University Business School, where he worked on a range of strategic consultancy projects for client organisations ranging from large multi-nationals to start-ups.
