Sally Askew

Bid Manager

Sally has a keen interest in supporting end to end bid activity from capture through to project launch.  Having previously worked in the defence, utilities, transportation and IT sectors she has a broad experience of both bid and project management.

In previous roles Sally has led global teams delivering multi-million pound tenders and has developed strong networks through working in partnership with consortia.

Following completion of a BA(Hons) at Newcastle University in Geography and English Linguistics, she became a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

A career highlight was being presented with a SMART Acquisition award by the UK Ministry of Defence. This was for her contribution to an innovation project which substantially reduced the cost and timeline for its battle tank fleet repair project.

During her time working in the water industry, Sally worked in the waste water team with a focus on project delivery to protect the environment through pollution and sewer flooding reduction initiatives.  As part of this role, she represented her organisation at national groups and conferences.

She’s delighted to be part of the Urban Foresight team, helping them support their commitment to positively impact the environment and improve lives.
