Supporting the development of the £60 million Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc

Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc (MSiP) is an ambitious £60 million project to stimulate innovation in the Scottish economy and address the global climate emergency.

Created in response to the closure of Michelin’s tyre manufacturing site in Dundee site, MSiP is a joint venture between Scottish Enterprise, Dundee City Council and Michelin.

MSiP aims to be a world class innovation centre, creating breakthroughs in sustainable mobility and low carbon energy with world class skills, science and space.

Urban Foresight was tasked with establishing the requirements for the successful innovation hub.

Market analysis was underpinned by targeted stakeholder interviews and an online survey. Urban Foresight engaged with multiple businesses and research organisations across the UK to assess demand and define wider commercial opportunities.

This analysis was then used to inform the detailed design of the hub.

Using its project management expertise, Urban Foresight was able to deliver this project within a very tight timescale in order to successfully meet the client’s wider objectives.
