StaySafe St Andrews covid-19 charter
UK's first place-based Covid-19 charter
Helping tourism and retail businesses to safely open for business after the Covid-19 lockdown
Urban Foresight was commissioned by Tourism St Andrews to develop and facilitate a novel initiative to safely welcome tourists back to the popular coastal town in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Working with a range of regional stakeholders, Urban Foresight held a series of virtual workshops and interviews with local businesses and community groups, to establish the objectives for the campaign.
Research into emerging standards and global best practice also informed the development of the town’s response.
We developed a bespoke ‘5C Strategy’ that clearly communicated the town’s commitment to safe working practices and the latest government guidance.
Over 300 local businesses and organisations came together to support the StaySafe St Andrews Charter to give confidence to visitors and local residents as businesses reopen in Summer 2020. Urban Foresight’s in-house design team was tasked to create a brand, leaflets, banners and window stickers that have been displayed across the town and shared via social media.
