Economic Development Consultants

Location: Dundee, UK

We are looking for ambitious consultants to work on an exciting portfolio of economic development projects.

Roles are available at all grades and will be based in our office in central Dundee.

The role

You will work on projects covering diverse sectors and geographies. This includes:

  • economic and social research
  • feasibility studies and business cases
  • strategies for places and sectors
  • evaluations of programmes and policies.

As part of this role, you will:

  • undertake research to advise clients on options, risks and appropriate actions
  • conduct stakeholder engagement, through structured interviews, facilitated workshops, and surveys
  • develop strategies to guide investments
  • write concise and insightful reports
  • prepare proposals and contribute to our work winning activities
  • track and understand relevant developments in local/regional policy and funding

Skills and experience

We are keen to meet candidates from a range of backgrounds and with different levels of experience.

As the ideal candidate, you would have:

  • a university degree
  • experience of working as an external consultant to public and private sector clients
  • experience of bid writing and business development
  • competencies in both quantitative and qualitative research
  • ability to analyse problems, find data and source information to quickly develop an understanding of new areas
  • excellent report writing skills, with an ability to clearly summarise findings and offer meaningful insights
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver engaging presentations.
