We are seeking experienced Evaluation Consultants to join our growing team.

Roles are available at all grades and will be based in our office in central Dundee.

The role  

You will build on our existing portfolio of projects, helping to win and deliver new contracts that require specialist evaluation services. This typically involves measuring the outcomes of client projects, identifying areas for improvement, and providing strategic recommendations for future projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • designing and implementing evaluation frameworks for diverse projects in areas such as innovation, sustainability, and improving health outcomes.
  • conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess project outcomes, including stakeholder interviews, surveys, and data analysis.
  • identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), theories of change, and developing metrics to track project progress and success.
  • collaborating with project teams to integrate evaluation activities into project planning and implementation.
  • generating comprehensive evaluation reports with clear findings, conclusions, and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • presenting evaluation findings to clients and stakeholders, and facilitating discussions on implications for future projects.
  • business development and proposal writing to secure new contracts
  • tracking emerging trends and best practices in evaluation methodologies, and the sectors in which we work.

Skills and experience 

We are keen to meet candidates from a range of backgrounds and with different levels of experience.

The ideal candidates will have a strong background in evaluation methodologies, data analysis, and consultancy.

You would also have:

  • a university degree
  • experience of working as an external consultant to public and private sector clients
  • proven experience in designing and conducting evaluations for projects or programmes, preferably in sectors related to our work (e.g. economic development, transport, innovation, net zero, health and social care)
  • strong analytical skills with proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • experience of business development, bid writing, and securing new contracts
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
