Fernando brings extensive transport planning experience with a focus on low carbon and net zero.

His academic background includes a degree in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Dundee. He is keen to explore how land use and transport systems align, maximising the benefit to local communities. His skillset combines policy development, data analysis, stakeholder engagement and communication and uncertainty planning.

Having worked in the hotel industry in Spain, England and Scotland Fernando is a career switcher. Before starting his career in the mobility consultancy sector, Fernando was involved in research which explored the innovation landscape. These projects allowed him to understand how the collaboration between university, industry and the public sector can help solve urban sustainability challenges.

Fernando’s interests include the optimisation and decarbonisation of urban logistics, and the management of public spaces for different uses.
