Martin is a Chartered Transport Planning Professional with more than 35 years’ experience in the transport planning sector. He has a diverse experience spanning local and regional government, and has worked as a top consultant since 2005. His expertise includes leading the development of integrated and sustainable transport plans and strategies at regional, city, and local level.
He leads on a wide variety of transport projects including research and analysis, strategy, business cases, and project development. The portfolio focuses on decarbonisation, encompassing active travel, public transport, and emerging transport modes including electric mobility. The work focuses on delivering improved social outcomes for people and their communities.
Martin has a master’s degree in Transport from the University of London, where he studied at Imperial College and University College London. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Mathematics from Keele University and has been a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport since 1992.
