Qasim Khanani

Project Specialist

Qasim holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the London School of Economics & Political Science specialising in economic policy. His research focused on growth diagnostics and state fragility and capacity building.

Prior to that he worked with the United Nations Development Programme where he was responsible for strategically engaging the private sector enabling them to reach sustainable development goals.

His experience also includes working in Cape Town where he was measuring the socio-economic costs of crime and developing a holistic strategy to counteract it.

He has also published two studies, driving inclusive socio-economic progress through mobile-enabled transformation and private sector engagement through development cooperation.

However his main interest lies in using data to drive decision making and creating new lines of innovative thinking.
